The Town of Newtown, Connecticut, Public Works Department (Newtown PWD) is soliciting sealed bids for the Replacement of Brushy Hill Road Bridge over Deep Brook 2025-34. The existing bridge is a 9’-10” single span cast-in-place concrete slab structure with concrete headwalls and flared wingwalls. The project generally consists of the complete removal of the existing bridge and installation of twin 12’ x 6.5’ precast concrete box culverts with cast-in-place concrete u-walls and associated riprap and natural channel material. The project also includes road reconstruction, storm drainage, bituminous curbing, bituminous concrete driveways, metal beam rail and bridge railing, turf establishment, and the installation, maintenance and removal of erosion control measures
