Specifications include, but are not limited to: Design Development: The consultant shall perform site visits to ascertain and become familiar with the existing conditions, layout, and construction of the school facility. Examine building envelope and interior construction assemblies. Investigate ceiling cavities, basements, storage closets, chases and other areas to determine accessible routes for ductwork, piping, and electrical. Utilize mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines to evaluate options for providing proper mechanical ventilation throughout the school building. All designed systems shall be in accordance with the latest adopted building, fire, and life safety codes for the State of Connecticut.
