Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1Design DevelopmentThe Town works cooperatively with vendors throughout the country and the current Public Health Emergency has resulted in remote meetings, coordinating service delivery at a distance and completing construction during the Public Health Emergency. The proposer shall consider and provide detail for a working plan during the Public Health Emergency. This should include considerations for an in person site visit, format for remote meetings, completing field reconnaissance and obtaining permits.The goal for both signs is to create a design which incorporates a modernfeel while creating a base similar to a stone wall. These traitsarerecognized inthe history and character of the town of Mansfieldand the goal is to maintain this heritage.As the design approaches a final plan, the Town will provide 1 day of test pits to confirm the sub-surface conditions at the direction of the selected firm.2.2FabricationThe Town will consider the use of teaming and sub-contracting with firms that have a demonstrated a successful working relationshipwith the proposer. The following materials and details were used during the conceptual design andmay be considered by the proposers: Fieldstone –CT Split Fieldstone ThinStone by Connecticut Stone or similarAll exterior surfaces would be constructed of aluminumPrimary colors shall be PMS 2756C(Blue) and PMS 368C(Green)Poured-in-place footings to sufficient depth for Connecticut. Precast Footing may be considered.2.3InstallationThe RFP shall include coordination with Connecticut Department of Transportation, required signage, and traffic control (ifnecessary). The Town will provide the contractor with a leveled site at a grade set by the Proposer with vegetation removed and silt fencing installed; all other site preparation is to be done by the Contractor.
