Specifications include, but are not limited to: All structures shall be demolished, and all demolition debris removed, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, compliance with all conditions of the City of Bridgeport demolition permit. The contractor is responsible for any shoring, short-term and long-term, needed to ensure the stability of neighboring properties that may be affected by demolition activities. The contractor shall be responsible for any repair or restoration work required as the result of any negative impacts made upon neighboring properties, including neighboring streets and sidewalks, pursuant to demolition activities. The contractor is responsible for hiring Police Department personnel as may be needed to ensure public safety in connection with demolition activities. Post-demolition, the lot is to be clean and free of all demolition debris and of any garbage, both at-grade and below-grade. None of the superstructure of the demolished building is to be left on the site or to be buried underground. Any holes or depressions in the site are to be filled with clean fill placed at a level of compaction sufficient to maintain the structural stability of all surrounding properties and structures, including any surrounding city streets and sidewalks, and sufficient to ensure no settling or sink-holes on the site itself. The site is to be covered with two-inches of asphalt millings spread evenly and rolled to a smooth-surface compaction without ruts or bumps or grooves. The contractor shall be required to create a catch-basin sized drainage area in the center of the site, where the City will require the placement of gravel (rather than millings); and the contractor shall grade and slope the placement of the millings to drain surface water to this center drainage area.
