Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Observation and inspection of all construction activities performed by the contractor, including keeping records of work hours, equipment hours, and materials used, salvaged or scrapped in performing the work. This includes determining whether work is proceeding in accordance with construction documents and keeping the City informed of work progress. 2. Performing administrative functions including establishing and maintaining project records and daily reports; reviewing and monitoring contractor EEO, DBE, and training compliance; preparing of construction orders; reviewing, analyzing, and recommending for contractor claims, proposals, extra work, time extensions, etc.; establishing and maintain shop drawing file; and preparing project final documents. 3. Providing and maintaining adequate staff on the project site during construction to provide contract administration. 4. Performing all construction survey work with the exception of that included in the construction contract to be done by the Contractor. Checking of all construction operations and layout staking performed by the Contractor. 5. On-the-job testing and sampling of materials as required. 6. Monitoring and documenting of utility work within the project site. 7. Working cooperatively with the City in seeking all necessary local, state, and federal approvals.
