Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Trumbull is soliciting the services of qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit its financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020, 2021 and 2022, with an option to audit an additional two (2) subsequent fiscal years. These audits are to be performed in accordance with the provisions contained in this request for proposals. The Town desires the auditor to express an opinion on the fair presentation of its general-purpose financial statements in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles. The auditor is not required to audit the supporting schedules contained in the annual financial report. However, the auditor is to provide an "in-relation-to" report on the supporting schedules based on the auditing procedures applied during the audit of the general-purpose financial statements and the combining and individual fund financial statements and schedules.
