SPECIFICATIONS FOR Window Performance Testing Services for New North End Elementary School BID #2526-08 Scope of Work • Field Testing Services: Conduct field testing in accordance with the following standards: • ASTM E783 – Air Leakage • ASTM E1105 – Water Penetration • AAMA 501.2 – Water-Spray Test for Aluminum Framed Entrances and Storefronts • AAMA 502 – Water-Spray Test for Aluminum Windows All testing shall be performed per project specifications 08 41 13 (Aluminum Framed Entrances and Storefronts) and 08 51 13 (Aluminum Windows). • Refer to North End Exhibits A and B. • Test Locations: Testing locations shall be as shown on the marked-up drawings provided by the Design Team. Refer to North End Exhibit C. • Provision of Testing Resources: Provide all necessary testing equipment, materials, and certified personnel to execute the work. Note: Water for testing will be supplied by the site. • Documentation: Thoroughly document all testing procedures with both photographic evidence and detailed written notes. • Reporting: Prepare and deliver a comprehensive final report summarizing all test results, compliance with specified standards, and identification of any deficiencies. • Retesting Requirements: Remain available for retesting should initial tests or inspections fail. Retesting will be carried out at the expense of the Window and Storefront Contractor, as outlined in the project specifications. Deliverables • Pre-Test Plan and Schedule: Submit a detailed pre-test plan and schedule for review and approval prior to mobilization. • Field Test Data: Provide completed data sheets for each tested unit, including photographic documentation. • Pass/Fail Summary: Deliver a summary report indicating the pass/fail status of each tested window and storefront unit. • Corrective Recommendations: If any deficiencies are identified, include recommendations for corrective actions.
