Specifications include, but are not limited to: •Provide a schematic design proposal for the William Lanson Memorial portal/silhouette sculpture based on existing concepts (see attachment Portal Sculpture Honoring William Lanson (Concept Drawing)) and established project goals;•Conduct an alternate materials assessment of existing concepts;•Provide dimensioned drawings depicting unique detailing of the sculpture and include all necessary specifications as required for review and approval prior to fabrication and installation;•Provide cost estimated for design, fabrication, and installation in order to determine feasibility of the project within the available budget ($80,000);•Conduct value engineering assessments during the design process to bring the project within the available budget;•Prepare and present, as necessary, design proposal, design development, fabrication, and installation documents to all relevant reviewing bodies and stakeholder groups, including, but not limited to, City Plan staff and the New Haven Amistad Committee for review and approval;•Engage the services of an engineer to provide sealed drawings for the foundation of the public sculpture;•Fabricate, install and/or oversee installation of the portal/silhouette sculpture in accordance with the terms and conditions of the established contract and the approved design development and construction documents.
