The City is requesting proposals for the interior and exterior renovations of two (2) public restrooms at Washington Park, one centrally located within the Park, the other on Park Avenue; exterior siding for two (2) additional buildings on the property and the replacement of shingled roofs on three (3) buildings and six (6) pavilions located within the Park - at 155 Meridian Street, Groton, Connecticut. The Contractor will work with the Parks & Recreation Director for approval of exact color selections for all painting/siding/roofing materials. The project will include materials and labor for the following: Restroom 1 (central area of Park) Exterior o Remove and repair any rotted woodwork from gable; prepare and install decorative trim work and vinyl inlay; paint all trim and soffits to match decorative vinyl. o Remove existing roof shingles, repair any rotted wood and install new roofing materials. o Remove and install new gutter downspouts. o Remove existing doors and framework and install two (2) commercial grade fiberglass or aluminum exterior doors (for the entrance of the men’s restroom and entrance of the women’s restroom) including keypad entry system on each door and all hardware to secure and hang doors. 2 o Remove existing doors and framework and install three (3) commercial grade fiberglass or aluminum exterior doors including all hardware to secure and hang doors for all other entrances of the building. General Interior o Remove existing utility room door and framework and install one (1) commercial grade fiberglass or aluminum interior door with all hardware to secure and hang door. o Repair, prepare and paint walls, ceilings, and concrete block stall dividers with commercial grade paint in both restrooms. o Prepare flooring surface and install new non-slip surfacing (or similar) flooring and stalls in both restrooms. Women’s Restroom o Remove existing stall partitions and doors and install new polymer (or similar) floor mounted partitions for five (5) bathroom stalls doors, four (4) that will be 56” and one (1) at 59 ½”. o Remove and replace all existing fixtures to include, but not limited to, soap dispensers, hand towel dispensers, hand dryers, ADA accessibility railings, heating elements, lighting, etc. o Install one (1) wall mounted changing table station. Men’s Restroom o Remove existing stall partitions and doors and install new polymer (or similar) floor mounted partitions for two (2) restroom stalls, one (1) 56” and one (1) 62”. o Remove and replace all existing fixtures to include, but not limited to, soap dispensers, hand towel dispensers, hand dryers, ADA accessibility railings, heating elements, lighting, etc. o Install one (1) wall mounted changing table station. Restroom 2 (Park Avenue) Exterior o Prepare and repair existing exterior; prepare and install vinyl siding (to match existing siding on Press Boxes) until gable (vinyl siding should start 2ft from the ground all the way around the building); remove and repair any rotted woodwork from gable; prepare and install decorative trim work and vinyl inlay; paint all trim and soffits to match vinyl. o Remove existing roof shingles, repair any rotted wood and install new roofing materials. o Install two (2) exterior lights, one above each restroom entrance. o Remove existing doors and framework and install three (3) commercial grade fiberglass or aluminum exterior doors, including all hardware to secure and hang doors; two (2) to include keypad entry system for the entrance of the men’s restroom and entrance of the women’s restroom.
