The fountain has experienced the following problems; • The basin leaks. • The float sometimes is stuck and the water drains from the basin. • The pump and controls are housed in an underground vault. It is defined as a permit entry confined space. As built dimensions are • Basin depth -4 feet • Basin diameter -47 inches • Mill stone diameter -8 feet • Mill stone thickness -13 inches • Splash pad diameter -20 feet diameter The contractor shall design, furnish and install a water feature achieving the look and function of the existing fountain. (See photo of existing in operation) lt is our thought that the existing millstone and splash pad can be reused. The pump and controls must be located aboveground contained in a structure that takes into account the park-like area it is located in. Replace the existing fountain infrastructure (pump, nozzle, and basin) as needed. Add programmable LED lighting (multicolor) to the fountain and the surrounding splash pad. There are no existing plans for the fountain. The work includes, but is not limited to the following: • Clean and grout, where needed, on the existing splash pad (if reused) • The water supply to equipment structure • The electrical supply to equipment structure • Water supply level sensors, electrically actuated fill line valve and water level • Pump control and lighting center panels • Backflow preventer • Decorative up lighting (LED multiple color) • Preparation of Code compliant design plans • Obtain and pay for all permits Work by others • Landscaping • Lawn Repairs
