Task 1: Develop Demolition Work Plan and Pre-Construction Meeting 1. Task 1 objective is to attend a pre-construction meeting and develop a Demolition Work Plan for the removal of non-hazardous and hazardous waste (i.e., wood flooring, sand bedding, sediments, and concrete surface materials) from the site, as defined in Appendix A. 2. Task 1 includes but is not necessarily limited to the following: a. Include a description of the methods for selective demolition of wood flooring. b. Include a description of the methods for the removal of sand bedding materials and cleaning of the underlying concrete surface. c. Include a description of the methods for the scarification of the first floor concrete surface to a depth of 0.5-inches. d. Include a description of the methods for the removal of trench drain sediment and catch basin sediment. e. Include a description of the methods for the proper management and segregation of all waste streams. f. Plan shall include a description for protecting Site features and structures that are designed to remain and that are not to be disturbed as part of the demolition. g. Verify proper waste characterization classifications with the Consultant (Verdantas LEP) and the Property Owner. h. Establish a plan for analysis and characterization of non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials for proper transportation and disposal. i. Identify the equipment to be used for the demolition and removal activities. j. Identify all disposal facilities for pre-approval by the Consultant (Verdantas). k. Identify all local, State, and federal permits and any notices required to conduct the demolition work.
