1. Based on projected enrollment for 2026-27, it is anticipated that the following number of route vehicles will be utilized: i. Type I Buses – 77 passenger 24 ii. Type II Buses - 20 passenger 10 iii. Type II WC Buses (2 Wheelchair Stations) + 12 passenger 2 2. In addition to the above vehicles, the bus contractor will retain the following number of spare vehicles: seven (7) Type I buses, two (2) regular Type II buses and two (2) Type II Wheelchair bus, to be held in reserve at the local base of operations during the time that scheduled vehicles are in operation. At least five (5) of the Type I bus spares must contain undercarriage storage. At least seven (7) of the eleven (11) spare vehicles will be available daily for transporting school children on field trips, to athletic events, and to other schoolsponsored activities, either in or out of the Town of South Windsor, including home to school hours.
