• Remove the existing roof materials, lowering the debris to the ground and disposal of all debris. • The roof deck is to be cleaned and prepared to receive a new roofing system. • Before commencing with the installation of the new roofing system an inspection from the Town of Chester’s Building Official shall be completed. If unforeseen conditions or issues arise from the inspection, a written change order shall be prepared and signed by the Town of Chester’s Building Official and/or the Town of Chester’s Department of Public Works Director. • The contractor shall provide a per square foot unit price for roof deck repairs/replacement. • The contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment to install a new roofing system per the 2021 International Building Code Portion of the 2022 Connecticut State Building Code, Section 1507, Requirements of Roof Coverings, Subsections 1507.1-1507.2.8.3. to include but not limited to the following: o Underlayment. o Ice barriers. o Drip edge. o Architect asphalt shingles with a minimum 25-year warranty (color Black). o Fasteners per manufacturers requirements. o Flashings.
