The Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) is soliciting proposals from qualified General Contractors for the construction and build-out of the Swift Building 5 Project located at 10 Love Lane, Hartford, CT 06112. This project is funded in whole with Federal Head Start grant funds and is subject to all applicable federal requirements. The project consists of the interior fit-out of recently renovated space within the Swift Factory campus to support the expansion of CREC’s educational programming. Work shall be performed in accordance with the Contract Documents, including all drawings, specifications, and exhibits attached to this RFP. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: • Construction of program spaces, classrooms, offices, support areas, and associated building systems. • Demolition and preparation as indicated in the Contract Documents. • General construction, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and finishes. • Site work and improvements necessary to support the building use. • Full coordination of all trades, subcontractors, and suppliers. • Compliance with all required inspections and testing. • Completion of project closeout requirements, including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and turnover documentation.
