Project planning and timeline: public meeting schedule, confirmation of roles, decision-makers, and Leadership Profile development co-created with the Board, drawing on: • Review of district strategic plans, budget, and other relevant documents. • Stakeholder engagement: interviews, focus groups, town halls (in-person/virtual), multilingual surveys. • Equity impact considerations and community-specific priorities (e.g. multilingual learners, special education, career-connected learning). 2. Deliverable: Leadership Profile & Selection Rubric (competencies, success indicators, and evidence). Phase 2 - Sourcing & Recruitment 1. Marketing plan and collateral (position brochure, job postings, social media, earned media). 2. Active outreach to a broad network representing a diversity of demographics (including places of origin), as well as internal employees; passive candidate cultivation. 3. Candidate screening (resume reviews, structured screeners, preliminary interviews) aligned to the rubric to ensure a consistent and fair process. 4. Deliverables: Weekly pipeline reports, demographic summaries (where voluntarily provided), and longlist of 8-12 qualified candidates. Phase 3 - Assessment & Selection Support 1. Design and administer competency-based assessments (e.g. performance tasks, stakeholder panels, school walkthrough protocols). 2. Coordinate reference checks, background checks, and credential verification. 3. Support Board-led interviews, community forums, and executive sessions; advise on logistics, privacy, and communications. 4. Deliverables: Shortlist of 3-5 qualified candidates, interview guides, inbox scenarios to reflect working capabilities, scoring matrices, candidate dossiers, and post-interview synthesis memos. Phase 4 - Finalist, Negotiation & Transition 1. Facilitate finalist due diligence; assist with contract term sheets and negotiation in coordination with Board counsel. 2. Support announcement planning and media coordination. 3. Provide onboarding/transition plan, 90-day entry plan, and 2026-27 school year milestones for the Superintendent.
