Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) is to solicit for General Contractor services. This project will renovate the former UConn Bistro to provide needed space for the Native American and Middle Eastern Cultural Center. The renovated space will accommodate a 1.) reception area, 2.) meeting room, 3.) flexible open space for programming activities, 4.) shared kitchenette, and 5.) two private offices. The General Contractor shall be responsible for selective demolition, metal stud framing, interior gypsum board partitions, doors, hardware, new interior finishes (carpeting, suspended acoustic ceilings, painting, etc.) mechanical, electrical, plumbing renovations, tel/data installation, sprinkler modifications, fire alarm modifications and new access controls.
