a. Excavation of test pits for waste characterization sampling. b. Clear and grub site as necessary to establish work/excavation areas, temporary groundwater treatment system area, temporary soil staging area, equipment/material laydown, and temporary parking areas. c. Provide traffic control, if required by the Town of Brookfield. Contractor shall coordinate with the Town to determine if his operations require traffic control by uniformed officers and include costs only if required. d. Installation and maintenance of sediment, erosion, and stormwater control measures in preparation for remediation activities. Transfer groundwater stored in two on-site 55-gallon drums to the temporary groundwater treatment system. Drums to be cleaned and then removed for off-site disposal or recycling.
