Specifications include, but are not limited to: Snowplowing and snow removal services at Housatonic Community College (HCC) in Bridgeport. Term of contract is three (3) years beginning Fall 2011. Housatonic Community College reserves the option to extend the contract term for one additional year. SCOPE OF CONTRACT SPECIAL PROVISION: Please note that services provided under this contract are NOT required for snow accumulations of less that two (2) inches. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF AREAS TO BE KEPT CLEAR Broad Street side of campus: Both lanes of loading dock all the way out to street. LOADING DOCK AREA Curbs in front of all dumpsters Plow HCC portion of driveway for entire length from entrance doorway out to curbside. SERVICE DRIVE ADJACENT TO BRIDGEPORT PUBLIC LIBRARY Snow must not Snow be pushed against building. must not Main sidewalk: Clear snow from service drive by public library to south end of separation between HCC and Sears. Do not pile snow on walkways. be pushed against black metal gate. Clear snow from college entrance on Broad Street (daycare area) including stairs. Clear snow from stairs and ramp Beacon Hall State Street side of campus: Main sidewalks from office building to HCC property line adjacent to public library, along black metal fence. Snow must not be piled at either end of sidewalk. Snow must be plowed or back-bladed away from entry plaza and entry doors out to street-side. Lafayette Boulevard side of campus: Plow main sidewalk from south stairs to retaining walk at office building. Plow traffic circle including street-side entrances. Plow two wings off circle for handicap parking and oversize parking. Plow handicap ramp alongside of garage. Clear entire area between traffic circle and top of stairs. Remove snow from all stairs on Lafayette Plaza.
