The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, supervision and ice melt products necessary to perform the services in a timely and professional workmanlike manner. The Contractor shall plow, shovel, treat surfaces and otherwise properly remove and clear all snow, ice, frozen rain, sleet and any other precipitation that may accumulate and freeze in the specified locations. This includes all follow-up treatments for refreeze situations, as may occur. All paved parking lots and driveways as indicated on attached maps, shall be plowed and cleared by the Contractor. At Danbury High School Main Campus only - all sidewalks, walkways, entry doors and emergency exits shall be cleared by the Contractor and then treated as necessary using de-icing agent with the Contractor providing their own de-icing agent that should not be harmful to the sidewalk materials. The City prefers a calcium chloride de-icer. Bidders shall state their proposed de-icing agent to be used. The Contractor shall push snow piles out of the way to reasonable locations at the edges of lots. Snow piles near lot entrances and at intersections shall be pushed back as far as possible to allow for adequate driving site lines, as well as provide space for future storm removal.
