Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.5.1. Awarded contractor will provide snow plowing equipment with operator as needed to perform the contract in a safe and professional manner. 2.5.2 Awarded contractor must report to the Facilities Operations garage (rear yard at 615 Fitch St, Hamden,CT) within 90 minutes after initial call from the SCSU representative. All vehicles/equipment must have full fuel tanks upon arrival (less the amount used for travel time to University). 2.5.3 Awarded contractor will not leave any snow piles that block sight lines at stop signs, traffic signals, or exits that exceed four (4) feet high. 2.5.4 Awarded contractor will be guaranteed a minimum of four (4) hours per storm. 2.5.5 Awarded contractor supplying snow plowing equipment is required to equip its vehicles with warning devices. Awarded contractor is to furnish snow plowing equipment complete with hoist, snowplow and tire chains. Equipment must also be equipped with auxiliary lights, adjustable headlights, backup alarms and amber strobe lights in accordance with FAA requirements. Equipment is to be registered, insured and properly lighted as required by the State of Connecticut.
