1. Transportation to and from the West Haven Senior Center: a. Operating Days: Monday through Friday i. Bring WHSC Members from their homes to the WHSC and then bring WHSC Members back home from the WHSC ii. WHSC Departmental Staff sets up the initial drive with the transportation coordinator and then the WHSC Member will be responsible for calling the transportation services for any adjustments to the standard scheduled pickup b. Pickup Time: between the hours of 8:00 AM - 9:30AM c. Return Trip Time: between 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM d. The majority of these passengers are older adults, picked up at their home and transported to/from the Senior Center. e. Note: Transportation services are not to be provided on holidays. 2. Transportation to Specific Locations within the City of West Haven: a. Operating Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday i. The services are to transport older adult residents to and from specific predetermined pickup locations throughout the city and transported to various pre-determined drop-off locations throughout the city. Typically for shopping purposes. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday ii. Majority of the passengers are West Haven Senior Housing Authority residents b. Operating Hours: 9:00AM – 4:00PM c. Details: Transportation services are required to pick up and drop off West Haven Senior residents to local locations and transport them to specific locations within the City. Locations are outlined within this RFP (Locations are subject to change) d. The majority of passengers utilizing this service are residents of the West Haven Senior Housing Authority e. Note: Transportation services are not to be provided on holidays
