Specifications include, but are not limited to: I. Lawn Mowing Services: A. Contractor(s) shall perform services during daylight hours from Monday through Saturday. No mowing is allowed on Sundays. B. The grass areas shall be mowed once per week but may be less often during the dry periods. During dry periods, do not mow the grass if the grass height is less than three inches (3"). C. Mowing height shall be no less than one and one-half inches (1-1/2) in height for all general lawn areas covered and shall not exceed three inches (3). II. Pesticides, Herbicides, and Weed Control: A. Pesticides and/or herbicides shall be applied only upon request by the agency. If requested, the grass areas shall be treated with appropriate chemicals and application protocols in accordance with Federal and State laws and regulations. III. Trees, hedges, and shrubbery: A. Trees shall be trimmed once per season to a sufficient height above the ground to allow enough clearance for mowing and walking under. This trimming should be done after the spring growth spurt of the tree's branches. B. Hedges, shrubs, bushes, etc., other than trees, shall be trimmed twice per season, once in May or June and also once in August or September.
