Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Connecticut, Department of Transportation (Department) is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for commercially operated food trucks or mobile goods vendors (Vendor(s)) to operate within the highway right of way at 300 Ethan Allen Highway (U.S. Route 7) in the towns of Ridgefield and Redding (Premises). Location. Each Vendor will be assigned a parking area as shown on the prepared site plan. Circuity of travel on the paved area must always remain unobstructed. Promotional signs and public seating are prohibited. During the winter months the Department will not be responsible for snow removal at this location. Hours of Operation. Vendors will only be permitted to operate Monday–Friday 8am to 5pm. Vendors shall not leave their operation unattended during hours engaged in sales, nor shall any Vendor property be left on the Premises overnight. Alcohol, Cannabis, and Controlled Substances. The sale of alcohol, cannabis or cannabis containing goods, and controlled substances are prohibited on the Premises. Garbage. The Vendor is responsible for the clean-up of all garbage generated from their operation. The Vendor shall provide garbage receptacles and dispose of all garbage offsite. No garbage or garbage receptacles shall be left on site overnight. Glass bottles and containers are strictly prohibited.
