Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. UCHC seeks responses from qualified firms to provide rubbish removal services for UCHC in accordance with the following specifications: a) CONTAINERS: The Contractor shall supply all compactors. Breakaway compactors shall be owned and serviced by Contractor. UCHC does not require equipment, including, but not limited to, dumpsters and containers to be brand new, however, all equipment must be good working order and freshly painted. All equipment shall be subject to UCHC review and approval. i) Container Definitions: A) Self-Contained: Includes all controllers in one compactor. B) Stationary: Controls are separate from container and do not go with container when emptied. ii) On occasion, trash compactors may contain biohazard waste (hot loads) which require secure facility storage until proper authorities can arrive and locate the contamination. b) OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE: Contractor is required to provide any equipment needed to transport materials, download materials and construct / emplace all materials covered in the Contract. The contractor will also be responsible for placement of items at (designated locations) as required. Any equipment damaged from unavoidable causes (fire, vehicular accident, etc) will be replaced at no cost to UCHC. Emplaced Contractor equipment and services will be inspected by UCHC for functionality and safety. Any identified faults will be repaired and/or amended by the Contractor at no expense to UCHC. The Contractors work will not conflict with or otherwise disrupt normal operations of UCHC. Materials shall be disposed at authorized landfills in accordance with local laws and regulations. c) SERVICE ADDITIONS AND DELETIONS: Service shall be extended to all new container positions immediately upon request for such service by UCHC. The Contractor shall provide this extension for the same unit price as specified in Exhibit 1 of this proposal. . The number of containers specified in the Contract may be reduced when it is determined by UCHC that such containers are no longer required, and payment to Contractor be adjusted accordingly.
