SPS seeks proposals from licensed and qualified fire protection service contractors to provide inspection, repair, and maintenance services for fire safety systems at its facilities. The scope includes scheduled maintenance, code compliance inspections, and as-needed repairs for the following systems: 1. Fire Sprinkler Systems 2. Fire Extinguishers 3. Kitchen Hood and Ventilation Systems / Ansul (Fire Suppression) Systems 4. Fire Pumps Fire Sprinkler Inspections: • Inspections to be conducted quarterly, 4 times per fiscal year. (June, August, December & April) • Inspections to be conducted on straight time only. • Inspections to be tested to NFPA 25-2020 standards • Detailed reports will be issued once inspections are done. These reports are kept in our files and issued to the City of Stamford Fire Marshal's office Fire Extinguisher Tagging/Inspections - Price for inspection should include the following: • Safety seal replacements • 12th yr hydro test of cylinder with recharge for 10# ABC • Valve stem replacements • O ring replacements There are approximately 715 fire extinguishers throughout our 22 buildings. All extinguishers to be inspected and tagged once per fiscal year (August). Detailed reports will be issued once inspections are done. These reports are kept in our files and issued to the City of Stamford Fire Marshal's office. All inspections to be done on straight time. Kitchen Hood/Ansul System Inspections: • Kitchen hood / Ansul system to be inspected semi annually • Detailed reports will be issued once inspections are done.
