Specifications include, but are not limited to: This Invitation to Bid (ITB) is for the RENTAL OF TRUCKS WITH OPERATORS FOR THE 2011/2012 WINTER SEASON inthe following categories: Category 1: 19,500 lbs to 25,999 lbs GVWR Category 2: 26,000 lbs to 31,999 lbs GVWRCategory 3: 32,000 lbs and Over GVWR equipped with hoist, snowplow, tire chains, optional sanding equipment, and allother equipment in accordance with the specifications.When responding to this ITB, bidders should be aware of the following:1. The Contractor furnishing the service has complete responsibility for equipment and labor being used and willfurnish all fuel, maintenance, repair and insurance for equipment.2. Contractor's equipment/operator will receive an assignment by the Maintenance General Supervisor, or adesignee.3. ConnDOT will designate a ConnDOT "Reporting Garage" where each Contractor's equipment/operator willreport prior to its assignment.4. Trucks must be fully equipped and ready for use from November 1, 2011 through April 30, 2012, unless theDistrict Manager releases any specified truck before that date.5. ConnDOT reserves the right to refuse the services of any truck not fully equipped and ready by November 1stof the contract period.6. Vehicles must be in safe operating condition at all times.7. If the State awards items and finds through its inspection that the item(s) are not as bid, DAS has the right todelete the item(s) from the contract
