The Connecticut Technical High School System, State Department of Education, has issued a Request for Proposal for related services and alternate education services from July 1, 2013 through June 31, 2016 in the areas of: special education, under the 2004 Amendments to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (P.L. 108-446) and C.G.S. 10-76 A-H inclusive and handicapped, non-special education, under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The contract(s) will be awarded to applicant(s) who can provide the required services in the following areas: Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Work, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech/Language Pathology, Vocational Assessment, Bilingual Educational Assessments, Bilingual Interpretation and Translations, Interpreting for the Deaf, Hearing Impaired Services, Audiologicals, Behavior Assessments, Behavior Intervention Plans, Transition Services and other related services. This Request for proposal (RFP) is based upon state and federal mandates related to the education of handicapped individuals. The State wishes to retain a Contractor with considerable experience and the necessary expertise in this area. No additional specifications were given.
