Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Greet visitors upon entry into the main lobby. Guard shall vet/evaluate visitors via intercom/camera system prior to allowing entry to the building. 2. The guard shall scan each visitor’s license through a national sexual offender database and issue a “visitor” pass upon system clearance/approval to verified contractors and visitors. The Town will provide all furniture and equipment necessary to issue passes/perform database checks. 3. Assist in package delivery and tracking. 4. Guard shall keep a log of district personnel visiting the facility for meetings or other engagements. Each log must be submitted to the Head Principal or his/her designee at the end of each shift. 5. Guard is required to be onsite from 6:40AM through 2:40PM, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends, public holidays, vacations terms, and all other days identified as school not in session. Guards will not be required to work over the school summer break. Refer to appended school calendar for complete schedule. Guard will be required to remain onsite during scheduled early dismissal days and teacher conference days. Where early dismissal is called due to inclement bad weather (snow, ice, etc.) and school events are cancelled, the guard will be released of duty as determined by the Head Principal or his/her designee. 6. Patrol and monitoring of assigned areas of the school buildings, grounds and parking lots to deter, detect, report and stop violations of the law and/or school board policies. The School Resource Officer (SRO) will go over daily assignments/responsibilities with the newly hired guard. 7. Assists School Administrators and staff in crisis and emergency situations. 8. Supervises and directs pupil movement. 9. Notifies the administrative staff, police, fire department, or other appropriate authorities of security or emergency situations. 10.
