Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of these specifications is to obtain a vendor or vendors to supply Rock Salt for the 2022-2023 Winter Season. The Town will not be obligated to purchase any set amount, but will purchase as requirements dictate. Estimated annual purchase: 3,000 tons. This number is given for the purpose of competitive bidding. Actual quantity is contingent upon weather. ***ROAD SALT GUARANTEE-Bidders must supply written certification from their salt supplier that the bidder has access to sufficient amounts of road salt. Bidders are expected to provide up to 100% of the Town’s initial estimate. Routine delivery is defined as receipt of requested quantities within a maximum of 72 hours. Routine delivery times are from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Emergency delivery is defined as within 24 hours. ***If delivery is not made within delivery guidelines, a 1% discount per ton will be assessed on each ton of salt for every day late.
