The contractor will provide the following services: The successful firm/individual must have experience providing public relations services to municipalities. Respond to press and/or resident inquiries Advise in the development of communications strategy and talking points on projects or issues on an as needed basis Prepare and issue press releases on projects and/or issues and distribute public relations materials Develop a media response protocol News media relations to include spokesperson services Advise on engagement with stakeholders to maintain credibility, transparency and strengthen relationships Assist with community outreach efforts Identify and develop relationships with reporters and media outlets Manage social media postings related to Town projects/initiatives Create and manage content for website Provide talking points, scripts or similar materials for media interviews
