Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Berlin is seeking bids for the Pavement Structure Improvements (State Project No. L007-0002) on Porters Pass, Christian Lane and Deming Road with an anticipated start date in October 2022 through July 2023 with a winter shutdown.; ITEM #0201501A – RESET MAILBOX: Mail or paper delivery boxes and their metal or wood posts shall be carefully removed, relocated and/or reset to locations indicated on the plans or as directed by the engineer in the field. Based upon the construction phasing and the contractor’s method of operations and procedures, these shall be temporarily set in locations as necessary for continued mail and paper delivery to residences and businesses during all phases of the construction process. Any mail box or paper box, or their posts or attachments, damaged by the contractor while removing or resetting shall be replaced at no additional cost to the project. Any mail box or paper box, or their posts or attachments that was previously damaged, and not the result of any action or disregard by the contractor while removing or resetting, shall be replaced as an extra work item.; ITEM #0202533A – REMOVAL OF EXISTING CURBING: This work shall consist of removing and disposing of existing curbing as shown on the plans or as directed by the Engineer.; ITEM #0202512A – CUT CONCRETE SIDEWALK: The work shall include sawcutting the existing concrete sidewalks at the limits of removal as shown on the plans, ordered by the Engineer, and in accordance with these specifications.; ITEM #0403872A – COLD - IN - PLACE RECYCLED PAVEMENT/ ITEM #0403878A – LIQUID ASPHALT STABILIZING AGENT/ ITEM #0403879A – PORTLAND CEMENT STABILIZING AGENT: The work under this item shall consist of the full or partial depth milling of the existing HMA pavement to the width and depth specified on the plans, blending the processed material with a foamed asphalt stabilizing agent, water and other additives as necessary and required by the mix design, and placement and compaction of this mixture in accordance with the plans and specifications, unless otherwise directed by the Engineer.; ITEM #0403875A – COLD - IN - PLACE STRUCTURES (LARGE): Work under this item shall consist of the lowering and plating of existing structures (frames and grates or frames and covers for catch basins and manholes) in pavement areas that will receive Cold In-Place Recycling (CIR), at the locations identified on the plans, and as directed by the Engineer. In pavement areas that will receive Cold In-Place Recycling (CIR), frames and covers or frames and grates shall be raised per items #0507772, #0507781, #0586651 and #1403501A.
