1. Introduction CT State Community College Norwalk campus (“College”) is in the process of developing optics technician programs at the certificate and Associate Degree level. We are seeking vendor quotes to equip an optics lab. 2. Equipment The College is interested in procuring the following equipment for their optics lab: 1. 3D Non-Contact Optical Profilometer with the following specifications: a. Type/Method: White-light interferometric 3D surface profiler (suitable for PSI/CSI-class modes or equivalent). b. Primary use: Non-contact 3D surface topography + roughness + step height + basic form/figure measurements on precision optical component surfaces. c. Minimum performance: Sub-nanometer vertical resolution class; vendor must state vertical resolution, repeatability, and maximum height range. d. System requirements: Motorized Z scan/focus; optical imaging with selectable objectives/magnification; metrology software for 3D analysis and reporting with standard data export. 2. Multi-Sensor Optical CMM for Lens Metrology with the following specifications: a. Type: Multi-sensor CMM with optical vision measurement + tactile probing (touchtrigger or scanning). b. Primary use: Precision dimensional/metrology inspection for lenses and components(2D/3D geometry, datums, features). c. Minimum measuring volume: ≥ 300 × 200 × 200 mm (vendor to state exact XYZ travel). d. Accuracy requirement: Micron-level CMM performance; vendor must provide guaranteed MPE. e. System requirements: High-definition camera/optics with controllable illumination; CAD-capablemetrology software with reporting/export.
