The proposed project has been identified by the Town of Weston as a potential candidate for construction funding under the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s (CT DOT) Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program, (LOTCIP). Old Hyde Rd is a 22-foot wide roadway, approximately 1 mile in length, with a posted speed limit of 30 miles per hour and a 2020 AADT of 1,500 vehicles. Preliminary geotechnical information supports pavement rehabilitation consist of a 2-inch mill & overlay in most areas along with installation of edge drains and other drainage improvements. A copy of the geotechnical evaluation is available upon request. This project is proposed to follow the completion of a separate Town project which proposes to install a 5-foot wide sidewalk along the western side of the roadway. While topographic survey information for a portion of the roadway has been completed as part of the upcoming sidewalk project, supplemental topographic survey is required and the Town is further seeking preparation of a street line survey depicting right-of-way limits along the roadway. Land record information pertaining to the right-of-way has also been compiled by the Town and is available to interested Respondents upon request.
