Intent The intent of the proposed work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Replace the existing fire alarm system with a new addressable fire alarm for complete operation. 2. Include installation of Fire Alarm Control Panel, heat smoke and carbon monoxide detection devises, strobes, bells and horns. Call for Aid system not included in scope of work. 3. System to be UL Listed and NFPA approved such as Edwards, Fire-Lite, Gamewell Simplex, Silent Knight, Vigilant or approved equal. 4. Contractors shall provide all required drawings for permitting including riser diagram. Installation 1. Abandon existing system as needed for the installation of new system. 2. Reuse any materials that will work in conjunction with the new system including but not limited to conduit, wiring, boxes contractor’s choice. 3. Install plate covers on any unused old work. 4. Any existing materials not reused will be left in place, deenergized. 5. Complete installation of new system with testing and coordinate the connection with 3rd party monitoring entity. 6. Contractor shall provide as-built for owner records.
