Design should include without limitation: • Indicate all necessary plans, sections, details and specifications for the replacement of the floor tiles, install ceiling tiles, replace lights, cabinets, counters and sinks. • Call for existing substrate to be removed down to bare concrete. • Call for a vapor barrier be applied prior to the installation of new tile. • All electrical outlets near sinks to be GFI. • In some of the classrooms on the opposite side of the hallway, drop ceilings have been installed at 8’-11”. Every effort should be made to match this height. • The BOE have been replacing the existing ceiling tile with Armstrong 24”w x 24”l x ¾”thk White Mineral Fiber Angled Tegular Ceiling Tile. • Where possible, piping should be raised above the ceiling height. This may not be possible with all the exposed piping. • The windows will be replaced in future years under a sperate project.
