Specifications include, but are not limited to: Phase I: Information Gathering Gather general housing demographics of the target Zone and review the City of Meridens Plan of Conservation and Development, TOD Implementation Plan, CDBG 2010-2015 Consolidated Plan for Housing and Community Development and 2010 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice. Identification of patterns of ownership, rentals, sense of the market (rental prices, house prices, tenant mobility, etc) Work with the Citys Office of Community Development, Planning Division, and Meriden Children First to hear residents and key stakeholders identify biggest challenges related to housing---e.g. poor management by outside investors, overcrowding, illegal apartments, (etc) Identify existing land-use issues related to open space, recreation and future use of city-owned property in the Zone.
