Currently the Water Service serving the property originates at a meter pit near the intersection of Compo Road South and Julian Brodie Drive. The single 12“ C-900 line feeds all Town-owned recreational facilities within the park, the Longshore Inn, 9 privately owned residences, and 4 Town-owned residential buildings. It is the desire of the Town to upgrade the lines serving all the Town-owned properties, and the Longshore Inn, and to construct a separate main line serving the privately owned properties, so that they can be metered separately from the Town’s meter. The Project will be structured in two phases. Phase I will include design investigation and preparation of preliminary concept analysis for separation of Town facilities from private properties, preparation of preliminary plans, meeting with Town Officials and key stakeholders, conducting a permit analysis and obtaining all necessary permits for the work. Finally, the Consultant will prepare bid documents, assist in the bidding process, prepare final construction drawings, and consult on any issues that arise during construction. Phase II of the project will include review of shop drawings, providing full-time Construction Inspection, as well as Administration, and Documentation of construction activities. The Town anticipates awarding a contract to the selected Consultant for Phase I with an option to award an additional contract for Phase II if it is determined to be in the best interest of the Town.
