Specifications include, but are not limited to: Qualified contractors to provide all labor and materials necessary to supply and deliver liquid melting agents, as per the following specifications. The products described in these specifications will be used for winter and summer maintenance of highways. 1. All equipment and materials supplied/installed shall be new and of current manufacture, and shall meet or exceed all specifications described herein. Any deviations must be indicated with the proposal response. 2. The Contractor is responsible for verifying all measurements and requirements, prior to bidding the work. 3. These products shall be delivered to a storage tank designated by the purchaser in amounts of 1000 gallons or more, or delivered and applied on roads. 4. Deliveries shall be made by trucks within 24 hours of notification. 5. Deliveries shall be made by trucks equipped with the required hoses and fittings to efficiently fill the tank to which deliveries shall be made. 6. If the tank is equipped with “bottom fill” fittings the truck shall be equipped with valve hose fittings that connect to the tanks fittings. 7. Tank trucks making the deliveries shall be equipped with hydraulic powered pumps capable of pumping 180 gallons per minute. 8. The truck shall also be equipped with an approved liquid meter with ticket printing capabilities.
