Sand: Silt: Clay: Combined Silt/ Clay The Town plans to purchase approximately 300 tons of Infield Clay during the term of this Commodity Award. The Town orders approximately twenty (20) tons at a time. The Town may purchase more or less, depending on the actual need. There is no guarantee as to the amount of Infield Clay the Town may purchase. The awarded Vendor shall deliver the ordered product to the Town within five (5) days of receiving the Town's order. The Town of Greenwich reserves the right to weigh the awarded Vendor's delivery truck before and after each delivery to ensure receipt of accurate tonnage. SPECIFICATIONS The Bidder shall submit a one-quart sample of the Infield Clay to Turf and Soil Diagnostics located at 35 King Street, Trumansburg, NY 14886. The cost of the Infield Clay analysis shall be incurred by the Bidder. Infield Clay sample analysis results shall be included with the bid. Bids received without analysis from Turf and Soil Diagnostics or that do not meet the Specifications will be disqualified. Bidders shall submit an additional one-quart sample of the Infield Clay with their bid. Bids received without the sample or samples that do not meet the Specifications will be disqualified. Infield Clay Specifications: Particle Size (ASTM F1632) 70 - 75% (> 50 % in medium, coarse, very coarse range) <15% 15- 20% 25-30% Silt to Clay ratio, (SCR): .5 - 1.2% No particles greater than 4 millimeters Equal to or less than then 5 % of particles shall be retained on the 2 millimeter
