Supply carriages to accommodate small group rides and wagons for larger groups. c. Ensure all equipment is clean, safe, and suitable for public use. 2. Driver Qualifications a. All carriage drivers must be experienced, licensed, and possess active, appropriate certifications. b. Uniformed attire for drivers is preferred to ensure professionalism. 3. Riding Routes a. Ability to follow pre-approved routes, which will be provided. b. Notify staff of any potential concerns regarding routes so that appropriates updates can be made and approved with all appropriate parties. 4. Event Coordination a. Collaborate with town staff to establish a schedule for rides, including duration, frequency, and capacity management. b. Managing and coordinating all reservation requests, and responding to notices and questions within 48 hours. c. Adhere to designated pick-up and drop-off areas that are safe and accessible for both participants and carriages. d. Manage customer flow and assists guests with boarding and disembarking, if appropriate. 5. Safety and Compliance a. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding animal care, transportation, and traffic laws during carriage operation. b. Provide a safety briefing for both riders and participants prior to the carriage rides. c. Carry appropriate insurance to cover liability associated with horse and carriage operations. 6. Customer Service a. Provide friendly and knowledgeable staff to assist town staff and participants regarding ride services. b. Discuss with staff if a mechanism for collecting feedback from participants would be beneficial, if this isn’t already being done. c. Appropriate and timely clean-up and disposal of animal waste. 7. Marketing and Promotion a. Work with staff to develop promotional materials and signage to highlight the horse and carriage ride services. b. Collaborate with town staff to ensure the rides are marketed effectively to participants. 8. Post-Event Reporting a. Work with staff to determine if a summary report, including metrics such as ridership, feedback, and any incidents or issues encountered is appropriate. b. Offer recommendations for future events and potential improvements to the services.
