Specifications include, but are not limited to: Establish a recommended repair program based on field investigations. The following repairs have initially been identified as required or needing further investigation. Repair recommendations are preliminary and we anticipate they will be refined after further investigation by the selected consulting engineering firm. • Replacement of the two existing chillers with new machines that do not require the use of ammonia refrigerants R-717. • Replacement of the two existing dehumidifiers. Replacement of the cooling tower with a new FM-compliant system. • Replacement of the glycol pumping system. • Replacement of the glycol supply and return headers. • Installation of a water treatment system – if needed. • Upgrades to, and a possible relocation of, the snow dump and melting pit. • Installation of a new water heating and deaerating system for the water used to make ice. The following services shall be included in this consulting engineering firm’s scope of work: • Confirmation and development of a repair program including any updates that result from constituent meetings, benchmarking or budget parameters. • Design services shall consist of all disciplines necessary to meet the needs of the programmatic requirements including but not limited to: architectural, landscape (site work), structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, interiors, telecommunications and data, • Site work around the Project will include but not be limited to locating and identifying sidewalk connections, utility services, access, lighting and hardscape/landscape design and requirements to protect and maintain the existing. • An estimate of probable construction costs is to be provided at the conclusion of Pre-design
