Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town of Berlin, Berlin Fire Departments & Public Works is seeking to purchase a state-of-the-art wide area voice network for use throughout the town utilizing analog simulcast technology. The integrated network should be a highly reliable, fault tolerant system which will meet current needs and provide a growth path for future expansion. The system is expected to serve the current communication needs of the Town of Berlin, and it must have the flexibility of being able to be adapted to changing system requirements and new technology without the need for the replacement of major equipment elements. The Town of Berlin wants to be able to reuse the analog repeaters, voters, and simulcast controllers for any potential future upgrade to any form of P25 network from a similar vendor, and which could include P25 conventional, P25 conventional simulcast, P25 phase 1 or phase 2 trunked. The network must also be capable of the addition of RF sites to increase coverage should the need arise.
