ECSU recognizes that the traditional university campus store business is in a transformational period, and it is the intent of ECSU to be on the cutting-edge of Campus Store services. Therefore, ECSU has initiated this RFP process to seek an innovative and proactive partner to effectively serve the ECSU community. ECSU’S goal is to provide an innovative, state-of-the-art Campus Bookstore that will result in the following: • ECSU-Centric destination/retail facility and website • Improved Course Materials Services to the ECSU community through the following: • Improve affordability for ECSU students by reducing course materials costs and providing innovative course materials solutions. • Improve communication with ECSU faculty regarding adoptions and utilization of the Campus Store Solution for required course materials. • Improve course materials adoption process • Ongoing evaluation of course materials solutions and programs. A Campus Bookstore that features innovative retail products and services, including but not limited to, the following • Enhancing and curating selections of merchandise to appeal to targeted ECSU markets (e.g., ECSU students, prospective students, faculty, staff, alumni, families, fans, etc.) including athletic wear, wellness related items, specialty health and beauty aid products, etc. • Refreshing merchandise multiple times throughout the year Improved customer satisfaction through the following: • Cutting-edge retail innovation • Utilization of technology • Comprehensive community engagement • Proactive collaboration with ECSU departments (e.g., Alumni, Athletics, student groups, etc.) • Proactive marketing strategy, including targeted marketing via social media, improving web traffic and online sales, etc. • Improved ECSU Campus Store Website • Increased sales and market share of ECSU branded merchandise
