Specifications include, but are not limited to:The purpose of this project is to improve the safety and main office space requirements forSedgwick Middle School.Relocating the office from the existing south elevation schoolentrance space to this new west elevation main entrance with parking lot access will allowfor entry control, ADA accessibility and easier access for the staff and public.PursuanttotheConnecticutStateDepartmentof Educationfundingassignedfortheproject, the Town has authorized the Purchasing Agent to issue this RFP to Architecturalfirms for the services of an Architectural firm for the complete design scope of work.The project consists of the addition of an access control main school vestibule to SedgwickMiddle School’s west entrance, as well as the relocation of the Main Office functions tothe existing Multi-Purpose Room.The Multi-Purpose Room is currently adjacent to theproposed west entrance and is a singular space that would be divided to accommodate thefollowing main office needs: V Entry counter V 4 open desk/cubicle configuration for secretarial support staff V 1 Principal office V 2 Assistant Principal Offices V 1 Office Manager Office V I Break room (sink is already in place) V 1 conference room V I space for copier The approximate size of space is 1,800 square feet
