Specifications include, but are not limited to: ARCHITECTURAL: Architectural work consists of complete tear-off and re-roofing of selected portions of Building 1 flat membrane roofs and a semi-permanent silicone coating on the existing sloped metal roof areas. The flat and low slope roof sections will be stripped down to the existing roof deck and replaced with new rigid roof insulation covered with a black reinforced EPDM (rubber) roof membrane. At locations where this membrane engages the parapet wall, the existing metal parapet copings will be removed and replaced with metal copings whose profile matches the original. In instances where terracotta copings exist, the original clay copings will be removed and reinstalled in their original locations. In the instance of damaged or missing terra-cotta, the contractor will replace those sections with new copings to match the original material and profiles. 2. HVAC: HVAC work is limited to temporary disconnection and reconnection of rooftop equipment impacted by the work. 3. PLUMBING: Plumbing work is limited to modification and repairs to the existing roof leader and downspout systems as necessary to accommodate the new drain locations including addition of overflow drains and piping.
