Specifications include, but are not limited to:Independent Contractor Status It is the intent of this proposal that the successful bidder is an independent contractor, and not an employee or agent. Nothing in this proposal or the contract to be signed shall be interpreted or construed as creating or establishing the relationship of employer and employee between the Stamford Public Schools and the Agency, or any employee or agent of the Agency, or between the Agency and any agent or employee of the Board. Both parties acknowledge that the Agency will not be an employee for federal or state tax purposes. 2.Background SPS currently serves some 16,000 students in grades PreK-12 in 20 schools (21 schools effective for the 16/17 school year). This position would service students across the district (i.e. district wide) with a typical five day work week. The students are distributed across 21 sites and we estimate the following weekly hours of service during the regular school year (including Pre-K services): 2016-2017 200 hours per week 2017-2018 220 hours per week 2018-2019 240 hours per week We expect 100 hours per week for the 4 to 6 week Extended School Year (ESY) Program. Additionally, we anticipate 50evaluations per year inclusive of Extended School Year (ESY). Evaluations will be billed at the hourly rate based on actual hours utilized.3.Detailed Scope of Services Compon e n t s o f t h e c o n s u l t a n t ’ s / o r g a n i z a t i o n s ’ w o r k a s a B C B A s e r v i c e i n c l u d e , b u t a r e n o t limited to: Evaluation of student performance data collection (Functional Behavioral Assessment’s - FBA’s) and Behavioral Intervention Plans - BIP’s,) written reports of student progress Review psychological, educational evaluations of students Comprehensive evaluation of students with Autism to identify appropriate ABA services and programming Develop recommendations based on evaluation findings for in-district and out-of-district placements, Individual Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives Implementation of ABA programming in school and home environments Staff and parent training (as assigned by the Assistant Director of Special Education Services).
