Specifications include, but are not limited to: Improving and standardizing access controls in the vestibules of ten (10) schools. The following scope will address the standard, each bidder is required to visit each location to determine needs and existing conditions. Standard: Doors under access controls will be in line with each other, typically be the closest access points to the main office of each school. At each exterior access controlled door there will be a video a-phone and a proximity card reader for access control. At each interior access controlled door there will be a proximity card reader installed. At each school there will be a minimum of three video a-phone receivers, one installed on the Principals desk, and the other two installed at secretarial main office desks. Each main entry security post will be provided with remote release transmitters for both interior and exterior door, and provide a spare remote for each door. All doors under access control will be locked with electric strikes, magnetic locks and releases are not allowed, existing will be removed by BOE staff. Should a mullion installation be required, contractor shall install or provide sub-contractor to install and insure it is removable. All wiring necessary for video connections and access controls to existing switches and control panels is the responsibility of the successful bidder.
