The State of Connecticut, DEEP is seeking bids for aerial adulticiding to control mosquito populations. 15K acres Adulticiding aerial spraying – fixed wing (Price per Acre); GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS: • Amount of acreage or number of units within a requested service area will be predetermined by DEEP Mosquito Management Program. Verification of stated service will be determined by date and times of application and amounts of product used, which must be reported on the invoice. • Geographic information will be provided to the best ability of DEEP MMP. • An application control system is required for all air or ground-based application equipment. • The contractor will be required to provide geographic information resources (i.e., GPS maps and data logs) from the application control system on-board any air or ground-based application equipment. • There is no facility for accessorial charges for cost recovery. • Contractor shall perform an equipment inspection and calibration test prior to each service event. Contractor shall calibrate application equipment to product label specifications for flow rates and droplet sizes. • The State Mosquito Management Program (MMP), and/or the local health department will post and notify the public of any pesticide application event. • In accordance with Connecticut General Statute 31-53, certified payrolls with a statement of compliance shall be submitted monthly to the contracting agency (DEEP).
