Sealed bids for the construction of the Water Service Saddle Replacement will be
received by Woodmoor Water and Sanitation District No. 1 (WWSD) at their office
located at 1845 Woodmoor Drive, Monument, Colorado 80132 until 4:30 pm local time,
May 17, 2022.
Bids received after this time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all bids that have been duly received will
be publicly opened and read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend.
Work to be performed includes, but is not limited to: All labor, equipment, and materials
necessary to remove up to 40 existing water service saddles and replace them with new
service saddles specified in Section 01600 on existing 6” or 8” domestic water
distribution pipelines, up to 3250 total square feet of asphalt surface replacement (i.e., up
to forty 8’ x 10’ asphalt patches), traffic control measures, customer notifications,
coordination for District inspections, and all associated permits, testing, and
appurtenances.
A notice of award is anticipated by May 25, 2022. A notice to proceed is anticipated by
June 1, 2022.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the office of the Woodmoor Water &
Sanitation District No. 1, located at 1845 Woodmoor Drive, Monument, Colorado 80132
at 2:30 pm local time on May 3, 2022. All participating contractors are invited to attend.
Access to the site prior to the bid opening can be arranged by contacting Ariel Hacker at
(719) 488-2525. In general, access to the sites will be limited to normal working hours 7
AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Bid packages containing the Bidding Requirements, Bid Forms and a copy of the
Contract between the District and the Contractor are available on PDF or printed from
Ariel Hacker at Woodmoor Water & Sanitation District No. 1, 1845 Woodmoor Drive,
Monument, CO 80132, (719) 488-2525, arielh@woodmoorwater.com. Printed copies
require a deposit of $25.00 for each set of bidding documents. Deposits are nonrefundable.
Each Bidder shall file with his or her Bid a Bid security in the form of a cashier’s check,
certified check, or a bidder’s bond in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a performance
bond guaranteeing faithful performance and a labor and material payment bond
guaranteeing payment of all debts arising out of the work.
No bid may be withdrawn for 60 days after the date Bids are opened.
Woodmoor Water & Sanitation District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to
waive any informalities or irregularities therein.
