Fall River Sanitary Sewer River Repair
The Upper Thompson Sanitation District (UTSD) respectfully requests written proposals from qualified consultants to provide engineering services for the Fall River Sanitary Sewer River Repair (“Project”). One (1) hard copy and one (1) electronic copy in PDF format on a computer readable flash drive shall be submitted to the UTSD Administration Office, 2196 Mall Road, Estes Park, CO 80517 on August 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM. No late proposals will be considered. Only those proposals that are received by the District prior to the deadline will be considered. Late proposals will be returned unopened.

A mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held at the UTSD Administration Office, 2196 Mall Road, Estes Park, CO 80517 on August 16, 2017 at 3:00 PM. The purpose of the pre-proposal conference is to provide assistance to prospective consultants in the interpretation of the Request for Proposal, Scope of Services, Sample Contract, and other technical and contractual matters.
The project involves design of the following specific components:

1. Realignment (vertical), relocation (horizontal), and replacement as necessary of 500-feet of 8-inch diameter vitrified clay pipe (VCP) with 8-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP), final length to be determined. The DIP shall be encased in concrete, buried to a minimum of four (4) feet to top of pipe.
2. New manholes as required by the realignment (vertical), relocation (horizontal), and replacement. A total of three (3) manholes are anticipated for the new alignment.
3. Removal and disposal of manhole F-163 and the sealing/capping of abandoned sewer mains.
4. Work will require crossing(s) of Fall River and is in the regulated Fall River floodway.
5. All work shall be designed and constructed in accordance with the UTSD’s Rules and Regulations; Urban Area Storm Drainage Criteria Manual; Larimer County Stormwater Design Standards; Larimer County Floodplain Standards; and other applicable current codes and regulations; with approved modifications, as necessary for the specific location limitations.
